Research on the Calculation and Analysis of Ski-Track Areas Based on Laser Point Clouds

To address the long-term statistical problem of ski-track area in construction and operation ski resorts, we propose a new point cloud boundary extraction method that improves accuracy minimizes offset error. In this method, all clouds are first projected onto fitting plane using random sample consensus (RANSAC) method. An improved algorithm is used to triangulate extract high-precision boundary. A discrete Green formula then calculate count track’s exact area. It demonstrated through five sets test experiments error proposed paper smaller than other classical methods, which confirms its benefits feasibility.
